Description: The purpose of this course is to provide an understanding of Voice over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE). The course will give you the knowledge necessary to understand evolving telecommunications networks driven by the IMS (IP Multi-media Subsystem), defined by the 3GPP.  IMS is an architecture that enables network operators to offer their subscribers multimedia services based on, and built upon, Internet applications, services and protocols. VoLTE uses this architecture to provide High Definition Voice and Video as the network continues to evolve. The course covers the basic terms/concepts and explains IP (Internet Protocol) architectures and protocols such as SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), SDP (Session Description Protocol), RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol) that are used to implement VoLTE.

What You Will Learn: This course examines the key concepts, terms and protocols of VoLTE and IMS.  In addition, it provides an understanding of SIP, SDP, and RTP protocols and an overview of Diameter, ENUM, H.248 protocols and message flows defined for VoLTE.

Who Will Benefit From This Course:  This course is for individuals responsible for, or involved with, network planning, engineering, interconnection, technical support or network operations.
